ITALY

Italy is geographically an extremely varied country. You really find every environment: countless beautiful towns (not only Rome, Florence and Venice, but also Siena, Orvieto, Assisi, Naples, Palermo, Arezzo, Lucca, just to mention a few), un-spoilt green hills with medieval towns and inspiring churches (Umbria), magnificent and varied seaside regions (Italian Riviera, the Amalfi coast, Sicily, Sardinia, and 3000 km of coasts), beautiful countryside, inspiring Renaissance painters (Tuscany, the hills and countryside around Rome), many and varied celebrated mountains with stunning views and skiing resorts (the Alps, the Dolomites, the Apennines). There are thriving plains (the Po plain), unexplored uplands (Calabria), fertile marine swamps (Tuscany and in the Po delta), many impressive active volcano’s, myriad of varied islands, some very large and forming a totally different world (Sicily and Sardinia).

Visita a due localita' inserite a giusto titolo fra "I borghi piu' belli d'Italia".Una nebbiolina invernale ha contribuito ad instaurare quasi un clima di complicita' tra me e quei vicoli deserti e le acque tortuose del Mincio.E' una sensazione piacevole quella che ho provato stando li' ad osservare e a pensare a quante cose in centinaia di anni potevano essere successe in quei luoghi.Mi sono sentito testimone di fatti letti sui libri,sui selciati,sui muri scrostati delle case.
